Monte Carlo with a vanishing edge, New Buffalo, MI.

A vanishing-edge Monte Carlo above Lake Michigan, where the lake becomes the far wall.

Vanishing edge pool and a round sunken fire pit on a bluff above Lake Michigan

On this New Buffalo lot the pool faces straight out over Lake Michigan, and the water spills over a vanishing edge, so from the deck the pool and Lake Michigan read as one surface.

A round sunken fire pit sits in the deck beside the pool, and a raised wall with stone veneer closes off the house side.

What went into it

  • San Juan Monte Carlo shell
